How to Power On the TrackMan I.O. and Connect the TrackMan Camera
Step 1: Turn on the Computer
Press the power button on the TrackMan I.O. computer. The power button is on the actual computer tower. You do not need to turn to on the Monitor.
The small white light on the button will turn on when the computer is powered up.
Step 2: Turn on the Projector
Use the white projector remote to turn on the projector.
Make sure you point the remote directly at the projector when you press the red power button.
The projector light will change from red to green when it is on.
Step 3: Open TrackMan Performance Studio (TPS)
Once the computer has finished starting up, use the mouse to move the cursor on the projector screen.
Open the TrackMan Performance Studio (TPS) app.
This is the orange icon on the screen.
TPS usually takes about a minute to load.
Step 4: Connect to TrackMan
When TPS loads, you’ll see the home screen with tiles like Practice, Courses, and Competition.
At the very bottom of the screen, click on the TrackMan logo.
A message will appear that says “Connect to TrackMan.”
A series of loading screens will follow, such as “Configuring services,” “Loading models,” and “Verifying models 1 of 8.”
Let all of these run. Do not press Cancel or the X.
This process normally takes about a minute.
Step 5: Calibrate the TrackMan I.O.
After the loading is complete, a calibration screen will appear. It may look a bit strange – this is normal.
Before calibrating, make sure no one is standing in the bay and there are no clubs, balls, or bags in the hitting area.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a menu.
Click “Auto Target.”
A checkerboard pattern will appear briefly, then disappear.
Once that is done, the TrackMan I.O. is calibrated.
Connecting the TrackMan Camera (I.O. Bay Phone)
Step 6: Open the I.O. Phone
Go to the I.O. bay and grab the black I.O. phone.
Unlock the phone if needed.
Step 7: Open the TrackMan Camera App
On the bottom of the phone screen, tap the orange TrackMan Camera app icon.
The app will either:
- Ask you to “Connect to your TrackMan”, or
- Go straight to a screen that says “Locate your TrackMan.”
Step 8: Select the Correct TrackMan
On the Locate your TrackMan screen, you will see a list of devices.
Select the I.O. TrackMan.
The name will start with “TMB0201” followed by more numbers.
Tap this device name to connect.
Step 9: Confirm Camera Connection
Once selected, the camera will connect to the TrackMan I.O.
You are now ready to use the camera to record swings.
